Bug OFF! Feeding Tampa Bay Receives a Large Donation of Bug Spray for the Summer

Summers in Florida are characterized by high temperatures and afternoon storms. Unfortunately, these conditions create the ideal atmosphere for mosquitoes. Insects like mosquitoes can pose a problem for individuals, spreading diseases like Zika, West Nile Virus, and Lyme disease. Not only is this a problem for all Floridians, but it is especially problematic for those who can not afford insect repellent. Luckily, OFF, a Johnson Family Company, has partnered with the Feeding America network of food banks to distribute bottles of insect repellent to those in need. As a member of this network, Feeding Tampa Bay received 2 full truckloads (80,000 units) of bug spray to distribute to those we serve in our community. Hunger and health go hand-in-hand and we appreciate the opportunity to bolster our clients’ health in multiple ways.
