Feeding Tampa Bay is excited to announce a new partnership with Coca-Cola Beverages Florida and the Tampa Bay Lightning to Freeze Hunger. We collectively believe that every person has the right to a meal and we are committed to making sure those in need have access to quality food. The Freeze Hunger campaign kicked off on February 21, with Hunger Night at the Lightning v. Oilers game.
Hunger Night brought awareness to the issue of food insecurity by informing people of the enormity of the issue – the number of hungry individuals in our community could fill the Amalie Arena 34 times! At the event, Coca-Cola Beverages Florida and the Tampa Bay Lightning also presented Feeding Tampa Bay with a $5,000 donation which will create 50,000 meals for our hungry neighbors.
