Because no one
should go hungry.

Feeding Tampa Bay

Founded in 1982, Feeding Tampa Bay makes a difference in the lives of thousands of people each week. Thanks to distribution through a partnership network of more than 500 faith-based and other incorporated, non-profit hunger relief groups, we serve a population of close to 700,000 food insecure residents across West Central Florida. Of these, 250,000 are children.

Receiving surplus food donations from growers, manufacturers, supermarkets and organized community food drives, we supplied more than 40 million pounds of food to its 10-county service area in the past year. That’s enough to provide more than 2.7 million meals every month to those who would otherwise go hungry. We are a member of the national Feeding America network.

This is how we work.

Step 1
gather

surplus food donations from local farmers, retail stores and manufacturers.

Step 2
share

food with neighbors in need through a network of over 500 partner agencies and direct distribution programs.

Step 3
feed

and nourish thousands of children, seniors and families to enrich their lives and build better futures.
