Hunger is usually stereotyped as homelessness, but hunger often looks like you and me. It affects kids, single moms, fathers trying to support their family, and seniors on a fixed income. Hunger happens to everyday people, every day.
The “Don’t Label Hunger” campaign seeks to dispel these negative stereotypes about hunger. By addressing these labels head-on, we can seek to create understanding among the general public and empower people to join Feeding Tampa Bay’s mission.
For questions, contact Megan Carlson at mcarlson@feedingtampabay.org.
Every $6 donation can feed a hungry neighbor for an entire month. As you start recruiting friends and family to join your fundraiser, think about how many people you’d like to feed this holiday season. 10? 100? 1,000? Every bit helps!

Hunger looks just like you and me. Carol has been judged for “not looking poor enough” while receiving food assistance. But the reality is she’s a devoted mom and caretaker for her special needs son. Help by donating at DontLabelHunger.com. #DontLabelHunger #FeedTampaBay
