With the help of its customers, Publix Super Markets donated $72,500 to Feeding Tampa Bay on April 13, 2017, to help the organization fight hunger. The donation came through the Publix’s Food For All campaign, a holiday program aimed at fighting hunger and promoting self-sufficiency in our community. Customers and associates participated by purchasing contribution cards in $1, $3, and $5 amounts, which were scanned and added to the bill upon checkout. The point-of-purchase fundraiser distributed more than $5 million from the 2016 campaign to nonprofit charities across its southeastern territory. In the Tampa area, Publix distributed $779,000 to 27 different charities. Feeding Tampa Bay is honored to have Publix as an ally in the fight against hunger and as a partner in creating change in our community.
