Our digital is merging – what does that mean for you?

As we combine our digital presence with our parent company, Feeding Tampa Bay, we seek to address any concerns you may have. Here are some FAQs to help guide you through the process.

WEBSITE

Where will I find information about Trinity Cafe? Updates about Trinity Cafe will be present across Feeding Tampa Bay’s website and social media pages (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram).

How do I get to the Trinity Cafe page on the Feeding Tampa Bay website? Trinity Cafe will have a section on the Programs page of the Feeding Tampa Bay website, or you can go to the page directly at FeedingTampaBay.org/Trinity-Cafe.

What will happen to Trinity Cafe’s website? All information from the site will transfer to the Feeding Tampa Bay webpage dedicated to Trinity Cafe. TrinityCafe.org will no longer be available October 1.

VOLUNTEER

How will I sign up for a volunteer shift at Trinity Cafe? Volunteers will be able to sign up for shifts through volunteer.FeedingTampaBay.org.

Will I need to create a new account? Yes, all new users will need to create an account to sign up for a shift.

How do I sign up for a shift? Signing up is simple! From Volunteer.FeedingTampaBay.org, click on the calendar view to find Trinity Cafe shifts or click on the Trinity Cafe tab to see Trinity Cafe shifts only. Select the shift you want, click Sign Up, then register as an individual, a small group, or a large group. Once complete, you will receive a confirmation email.

I signed up using the portal, now what? As soon as you sign up for a shift, you will receive an email confirmation. You will receive a reminder email a few days prior to your volunteer shift.

I get all of my updates through the Hunger Heroes Facebook group, will that group still exist? Yes! Hunger Heroes at Feeding Tampa Bay and Trinity Cafe will still exist and will be updated with volunteer needs like before.

How will this change day-of registration? Volunteer registration at Trinity Cafe is going digital! Coming soon, when you arrive on-site at Trinity, you will check in for your shift using the computer or tablet provided.

How do I check-in using the computer or tablet? When you arrive at Trinity Cafe, you will sign in to the volunteer portal using the login you created, and select your shift! There will be instructions listed on-site as well!

Do I have to pre-register for a shift or can I walk-in? It is recommended that you pre-register for a shift to make sure we have an accurate number of volunteers.

I have already signed up for a shift at Trinity Cafe for October using the Trinity Cafe calendar. Do I need to sign up again? No, if you signed up for a shift at Trinity Cafe in October prior to the volunteer portal merger, you will not need to sign up for that shift through the new portal. After October 1, if you sign up for a volunteer shift at Trinity Cafe, you will need to register a new account at Volunteer.FeedingTampaBay.org.

DONATIONS

Can I still make donations to Trinity Cafe? Yes, support the program through FeedingTampaBay.org/donate.

I don’t see an option to donate to Trinity Cafe, how can I ensure it goes to this program? All of our programs support children, families, seniors, or general hunger relief. While all of these groups visit Trinity Cafe, use by families is increasing as the hunger landscape changes.

I donate to Trinity Cafe monthly, will my donations continue automatically? Yes, recurring donations will remain intact.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Where will I find information about Trinity Cafe on social? You can get all of your Trinity updates at @FeedingTampaBay on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. The Hunger Heroes volunteer group will still be available on Facebook as well!

I like Trinity Cafe on social media, do I need to do anything regarding this merger? If you haven’t already, go like @FeedingTampaBay on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram – that way you won’t miss a beat on updates!

My company is volunteering at Trinity Cafe, how do we tag your organization in our photo? Please use @FeedingTampaBay to give us a shout!

Why are you merging your digital platforms? We know you want options when it comes to fighting hunger, so we’re streamlining our systems to give you access to all we have to offer as a program of Feeding Tampa Bay. This means, you will see all information about food relief, expanded volunteer opportunities, and different ways to donate in one spot!

When will this take place? Our target date is October 1.
