Turning $1 into 14 meals – one day only!

Give Day postcard

Mark your calendars! The first-ever Give Day Tampa Bay will take place on Tuesday, May 6, 2014. Starting at midnight, this 24-hour online giving challenge will increase awareness of the various nonprofits in our area while offering a quick and easy way to get involved!

Helping your neighbor is as easy as a few clicks of a mouse. Imagine if our entire community united for one day, together we could make Tampa Bay a better place to live.

And did we mention that all donations over $25 will be matched? This means that while we are normally able to turn every $1 into 7 meals, on May 6, every dollar donated will help feed 14 people! This event is a perfect way to help us feed the hungry in Tampa Bay.

Giving will only take a few minutes and you can do it at work, at home, at the beach, or on a golf course – whenever you want to do something fantastic and happen to have internet access. Simply visit our page and follow the step-by-step instructions. Don’t forget to check back with us throughout the day to see where we stand on the Leaderboard!

While you are welcome to include your name with your donation, donors can also remain anonymous or even make the donation in honor of someone else.

Looking for different ways to collect donations? Get your coworkers, family, and friends involved!

  • Create a collection box and place it in a convenient area
  • Invite your employer to match donations
  • Share our page on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or email! We love any excuse to hashtag, so feel free to use #GiveDayTampaBay and our handle @FeedingTampaBay

While the GDTB event is a great time to give, we sincerely want to say thank you again for helping us feed the hungry every day in Tampa Bay.
