Feeding Tampa Bay is an essential facility and we are working hard to ensure our neighbors have the food they need during this critical time. Many of our families struggle to provide everyday meals, and with extended breaks and closures, this need is increasing to levels we’ve never seen before.
In the past month, we’ve:
As we strive to provide food for families amidst COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we need your help. Donations we would typically receive during a crisis are slowing as product flies off of store shelves, leading us to purchase more food than ever for children and seniors in need. Help us equip our neighbors with food in this time of uncertainty.
Volunteers are crucial in our coronavirus response efforts and we need you to #standwithFTB now more than ever. We are taking the following extra precautions to ensure our volunteers’ safety in our warehouse and at distribution sites:
All volunteer opportunities have been re-designed to meet the latest CDC guidelines and promote social distancing. We kindly ask volunteers who fall within an “at-risk” category (immunocompromised, age 65+, etc.) or those not feeling well to take care of themselves at home.
Until the situation stabilizes, the need for our services will continue to increase – and we need your help to deploy these programs.
If you are willing and able to volunteer in the face of a pandemic – or other crisis situation like a hurricane – become a part of our emergency response volunteer team.
Our community partners are finding creative ways to help fight hunger during this time – see for yourself!
