One person can make change. Feeding Tampa Bay’s Changemakers program is designed to engage children to lead their families and friends in philanthropic efforts by increasing awareness around issues facing our community, teaching social responsibility through volunteerism and activism, and engaging acts of generosity through financial literacy.
Changemakers educational sessions and change collections will coincide with Family Nights, which take place on select Fridays each month in our warehouse.
Each program session will begin with a 30-45 minute educational course put on by both the Feeding Tampa Bay and Seacoast Bank teams. Courses will cover hunger awareness and financial literacy – educating children about saving and spending habits, as well as teaching them about sharing their money through change-collecting. After the course, Changemakers will join the rest of our volunteers for an impactful evening of community service!
This program boasts a year-long curriculum, but attendance is flexible. Changemakers is designed on a “come as you can” basis, meaning you can register at any time and attend the sessions that fit into your schedule. Program curriculum is best suited for students ages 6 – 13 who are eager to make a stronger impact in their community.
