A Catalyst for change

Catalyst empowers eager high school students (ages 14-18) to use their voice and time to make a strong impact on our communities. Through social media awareness, volunteerism and voice activation, these teens are truly a Catalyst for change in the lives of our neighbors.

Program
Overview

Felicia, Catalyst

Catalyst focuses on food insecurity’s intersection with social issues, becoming an advocate for social change, and fostering commitment to giving back to your community.

The Catalyst program is a 3-week volunteer, education, and leadership development summer program. High school students will volunteer and attend education lessons weekly. Program days are Mondays & Wednesdays.

Successful completion of the program in its entirety guarantees at least 30 volunteer hours, college preparedness, and a greater understanding of food insecurity in the Tampa Bay area, and the ways to combat it.
