Bids will be accepted for catering service for Feeding Tampa Bay to provide 2,200 lunches and 2,530 snacks daily during the summer through SFSP. Meals should be delivered at the proper temperature and equipment provided that would keep those meals out of the danger zone for temperature, including but not limited to hot boxes and coolers with ice. Information and specifications for the ITB may be obtained at the center located at 3624 Causeway Blvd, Tampa, FL 33619 or linked below. Bids will be opened at the above address on 3/12/2025 at 3:30 pm.

Is the due date the bid opening time of 3/12 at 3:30pm?

All ITB’s are requested prior to the opening 3/12 at 3:30 pm.

Are the menus on page 21, 22, 24, 25 exactly what you want, or are they examples?

This is the menu we would like based on the children’s preferences. Reasonable changes can be accommodated.

Are you looking for strictly hot meals or cold or a mixture of both?

We are primarily looking for hot meals based on the children’s preferences.

We need triple copies of the proposal. However, will 1 copy of the official bid bond assurance work, along with 2 copies?

Having the original and copies of it will work.

Is there a bid scoring sheet to better understand the evaluation criteria?

There isn’t a formal rubric, but all the requirements are outlined in the ITB. The contract will go to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder.

Is there a bid bond form?

FL does not have any bid bond forms.  However, 7 CFR 225 regulation states:

Food service management companies shall obtain bid bonds and performance bonds only from surety companies listed in the current Department of the Treasury Circular 570. No sponsor or State agency shall allow food service management companies to post any “alternative” forms of bid or performance bonds, including but not limited to cash, certified checks, letters of credit, or escrow accounts.

Are bidders allowed to attend the bid opening?
